About Me

Resident of an apartment complex in Northern Minnesota.  We have significant maintenance and health issues.  Owner of the property owns 70 others and their budget apparently does not extend to making sure the residents receive what they pay rent for.

This was not true when I moved here five years ago.  Maintenance was attended to promptly and the place was much cleaner than it is now.  The caliber of the residents was higher as well.  We had young families, disabled people, and others who were "starting out" and making the most of their stay here.  No, we have cars up on blocks in the parking lot.

Problems began when a very capable manager was fired about the time I moved in.  A series have held the position since.  None seem to be able to manage their own lives, much less the building.  All have done nothing but post "Thou Shalt Not" signs around the buildings, some of which are so trivial or so confusingly worded that it is not possible to abide by them.  Meanwhile, a sewer gas issue was ignored for more than a month last winter.  My apartment has maintenance issues which have been reported to--and ignored by--management, in some cases for more than three years.
